A day of many parts. Weather changing faster than the DH guys. A Ram causing pandamonioum on the Quarry. Possable chassing the young yew that some of the guys were herding up on the Red line a short time before. I got a shot of the Ram only seconds before the pandimonioum. With the Ram going up the Quarry, while the rider aproching the top, me shouting to warn him & then the Ram coming over the side above me. Sorry I never managed that shot or the the riders action. I was ducking to much myself from one flying angry Ram & flying debrie. Instincts take over! Saw some lovely bluy sky for a while with some good show boating before Cwmcarn's weather reversed itself & it looked liked we were shooting for a Bat out of Hell styl. Oh the pleasures of playing at Cwmcarn! | (Contains 184 photos)
As my son put up on the MRG Face Book. I was going over to try out some some radicall ideas. Obviously I did some normal style shots latter in the shoot. There has to be some thing that you can reconise as your selfs. The idea was to see if slow-mo shooting can be used for genral DH work. I think you will agree that there is still a big question mark on that one. No experiment, No fun! | (Contains 116 photos)
Even though the up-lift was fully booked for the day, only 10 guys turned up by mid-day. Which was a sham as it was a great day for riding. Warm, humid & no wind. Other than one tiny spot on the top section, the track was dry to tacky & to cp it all no rain. ( Maybe the last might be a bit of a surprise. The carpark is being up-gradded with some teared spaces on the hill where the walking path is. Work will be going on for a month or so. I have left a couple of photos forcheck out. Pick up is now at the wash place.
There is a few really good shots of those guys that did wish to play on the hill. Have fun.
I will be absent for three weeks now as I am traipsing round Yorkshire & will be out of contact for days at a time as internet conection is very limited where I am dissapearing too.
Photography is great & so is the fishing. Every thing has its priority!
Especially with the wife onboard. |
